We’re looking for compassionate Support Worker (Learning Disabilities) with the ability to encourage people to look after themselves so they can live their lives to the fullest. It’s crucial that you have experience and an understanding of autism and learning disabilities.
We are supporting individuals to move into their own property and start their journey to a more independent lifestyle. We will deliver intense support during difficult times, so it’s essential that you have experience in supporting people with anxieties and communication difficulties who may present with challenges to the service. Previous experience is an advantage but is not essential as training is provided.
We can offer both temporary and permanent full time or part time
Support Worker (Learning Disabilities) requirements:
- You have brilliant people skills with the ability to develop relationships and manage challenging situations.
- 3-months UK care experience from within the past 3-years
- Moving and handling and personal care experience
- The right to work in the UK.
- This role requires you to support service users with learning disabilities
- Keeping written records, using IT systems to record daily notes, and be confident using our systems to record incidents
