An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join this well-established Supportive & Palliative Care Team based in Birmingham. 

The post holders will work as a team, to help deliver an expert specialist service for those patients with life limiting illnesses. You will also help to care for patients at all stages of their journey and through a variety of treatments in a kind, compassionate manner. You will be committed to the delivery of high quality holistic patient care and you will play an active part in clinical practice, management of patient caseload, education, research, audit and professional activities relating to palliative care.

You will be responsible for overseeing the care and support of clients, helping them to achieve their full potential and experience an increased quality of life. You will support the Senior Clinical Team in the assessment process and setting up new complex care packages, as well as carrying out patient centered care plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity to care for your clients, tailor this care to their needs and have full support to implement changes you feel would benefit your client and their families.

Requirements:

  • Band 6 or above Nurse with experience in either complex care, critical care, ITU, HDU or similar
  • Passionate about delivering excellence in clinical and holistic care.
  • Current NMC PIN
  • Flexible working approach
  • Recent Tracheostomy and Ventilation experience with up to date competencies in both areas
  • An enhanced DBS check or willing to undertake a new one.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Key skills: Compassion, Time management, Clinical Skills
